I had decided to go the cheap route. I had done what most people do and had 4 bids. I found the companies online and in a matter of 2 weeks the bids started coming in for a waterfall and small river my wife and I always dreamed of. Long story short: the ONLY time I saw the owner was to come to my house and give me the bid. Unfortunately I got what I paid for and still feel ripped off! The pond never retained water and you could see black liner everywhere. It didn’t look one bit natural. Concrete was hardened under the water fall section and looked awful. Worst 75k I had ever spent. The company is now “out of business” and is now operating under a new company name! I did what I should have done in the first place and got a referral for Jimmy from Creative Water Gardens. The man showed up and one of the first things he tells me is that he is on the job from start to finish! He assured me he wouldn’t have his gardening crew come in to build my water fall. He specialized in that part of the business and it’s all he does is custome water falls, pools and ponds. It took me to see only 3 of his jobs to inderstand I was ripped off by a gardening crew that are hardly good at planting your flowers and shrubs. Creative water gardens creates art. My water fall that Jimmy and his crew redid is exactly what we wanted from the start.

He’s great! I would’ve rated him 5-stars but our $500 project turned into $4,000 instead. I just wish he would’ve been able to bid it closer to the actual required time. Sadly, our pond still leaks. But I can’t afford to add more money to it at this time. He’s super nice, honest (I just don’t think he anticipated how big the project would end up being), and a hard worker. The pond looks beautiful.
Jimmy and crew were so knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with. Our problem was difficult to diagnose but they stayed with it until it was fixed! I would hire again in a heartbeat!
